Troy Callaway

One of my earliest memories is coming home from pre-school and helping my dad knock holes in the dining room drywall. At the time, I’m sure I was just having fun breaking stuff with a hammer. But little did I know, my woodworking journey had just begun. In the coming years, I would go on to help him renovate the entire house, gaining a good grasp of tools and construction along the way.

By the time I got to High School, I’d discovered my other passion – music. Specifically, playing guitar. My father being a musician, I’d always grown up around a variety of guitars, and every guitar player knows you can’t own just one. So once senior year came around, I finally combined my two passions and built my first guitar from scratch. To this day I continue to find new and creative ways to build guitars.

While music and guitar continue to be passions of mine, my woodworking influences have expanded to mid-century modern, Japanese, and modern industrial. Some of my early work catered more to local and regional styles, but now I am excited to be able to truly follow my own vision and create what I love.
